At the age of 18 my friend decided to enroll at Coppin State College in Baltimore with a dream of becoming a nurse.Within weeks,however,she discovered she was pregnant.She got married, and, still vowing to become a nurse some day.So she dropped out of college to care her baby.A few years later, she had another son,and few years after she got divorced.As a single parent raising two children and working at boring,low-paying jobs,she felt an ache every time she saw a woman in a nurse’s uniform.When the youngest of her 2 children was 15,she again enrolled at Coppin State College.She was excited to resume her long-deferred dream of becoming a nurse.Then, in the middle of the 1st semester,her new husband announced that his 2 teenage children from a former marriage wanted to live with them,and he asked my friend to drop out of college to care for them.Reluctantly,she consented.Despite this 2nd setback,she still promised herself that one day she would beome a nurse.continuation of the story: Then one late night well into the semester,She recieved a despearte phone call from her older son who was now married and had an infant child of his own.He revealed that his wife,Sharon,was a drug addict.Worse,she owed drug dealers $200,and they were holding my friends grandchild untill they got the money.My friend helped her son get the money together,and they waited anxiously through the night while Sharon went to pay off the drug dealers and rescue the child.Next morning,Sharon returned safely with the baby.My friend agreed to watch her grandchild while her son and his wife went off to talk about their problem.It got later and later and my friend had no idea where her son and daughter in law were.As the hours passed,She began to realize that she was probably going to miss her college classes,the first one starting at 9 that morning.An awful fear crept over her that once again her dream was in danger.She sat there getting angrier wondering what she shoulddoplease help me!!!! My wife and I are separated. We plan on counseling to see if it’s possible for us to get along. I had a girlfriend, but I broke up with her at my wife’s request. She said that in order to show that I was serious about working on this marriage, I could not talk to this woman and that I also had to open up all my account passwords (phone records) to prove to her that I had no contact. I totally feel where everyone on here is coming from. THe only problem is that i’m only 19 and my husband is 21.
